Q.U.A.C.

Q.U.A.C. is a student-led program that stands for “Queers United, Acting for Community”. It was started in 2024 with a grant awarded to Lane Education Service District in partnership with Queer Eugene, through the Oregon Department of Education’s Student Success Plan grant.

It was born from Lane ESD Student Voice in Lane County, indicating that a program like this was needed to support our Lane County queer community. This program is designed to support queer youth- and secondarily staff -in the education system in Lane County.

24-25 School Year Highlights:

~Lane County Student Listening Report
~GSA meeting support served 25 schools with 68 visits
~Started Pink Party (community dance for middle school) 71 attendees from across Lane County
~Brought back Pink Prom (community dance for high school) 131 attendees from across Lane County
~Supported annual Youth Pride Festival Over 1,000 attendees from the Eugene-metro area
~Created and published Lane County Resource Guides
~Created and published Queer Youth Activities & Supports Guidebook
